Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaki will arrive in Pakistan today

 Afghanistan's caretaker Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaki will arrive in Pakistan on Wednesday, November 10, accompanied by a high-level delegation.

Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi said in a Twitter message that the visit would focus on enhancing bilateral relations, trade and refugee issues between the two countries' officials.

According to the spokesman, the Afghan delegation will also include the Ministries of Commerce and Finance.

It should be noted that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had invited Amir Khan Mottaki to visit Islamabad during his visit to Kabul last month and this would be the first visit of any Afghan Minister to Pakistan since the Taliban took control of Kabul on August 15. ۔

Pakistan has not recognized the Taliban government, but the Taliban government has activated the Afghan embassy in Islamabad, as well as consulates in Peshawar, Karachi and Quetta.

Mansoor Khan, Pakistan's ambassador to Afghanistan, met Amir Khan Mottaki in Kabul and told his team that the meeting focused on measures to strengthen bilateral trade, transit, human trafficking and humanitarian activities. Thought

Earlier, Shah Mehmood Qureshi had a detailed discussion with Amir Khan Muttaqi during his visit to Kabul on October 21.

Pakistan had assured Afghanistan that it would facilitate border movement as well as Afghan transit and trade, while Pakistan opened the Torkham border to pedestrians after the Foreign Minister's visit to Kabul.
