Police have arrested an accused Zakir in a case of abduction and rape of a 6-year-old girl in Korangi area of Karachi.
According to the police, the accused Zakir was a neighbor of the girl. The accused took the girl for a ride in a rickshaw for an hour. After the rape, the accused killed the girl and threw her body in a garbage can.
According to the initial police investigation report, the girl was abducted from the street on July 27 and her body was found in a garbage dump on July 28.
The initial police report did not name anyone, but one suspect has been arrested. Police have submitted the report to the court.
The tortured body of a 6-year-old girl was found in a garbage dump on Korangi No. 4 Pak Ghousia Road. The minor girl went missing last time when there was no electricity in the area.
An autopsy report by the police confirmed that the girl had been raped before the murder, during which she was subjected to the worst forms of torture and was found to have broken her neck.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail had sought a report from Additional IG Karachi on the incident. Imran Ismail said that such incidents were intolerable in a civilized society.
