ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central leader Engineer Khurram Dastgir has said that if accountability has been taking place for the last three years, then the result should also come. He asked the government to state what has been achieved after three years of accountability.
In response to a question posed by senior journalist Muhammad Malik on Hum News program Breaking Point with Malik, former Federal Minister Khurram Dastgir said that the ultimate goal of Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz is transparent elections.
He said that the Muslim League members have been held accountable for three years. He asked why Mian Shahbaz Sharif remained in jail for 10 months.
To a question, the PML-N central leader said that every one of us needs grooming. He said that after the arrest of Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz had to come forward in PDM meetings.
Khurram Dastgir said that after the arrest of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz, Maryam Nawaz raised the party flag. He said that Maryam Nawaz is a great asset of the party.
Talking on Hum News program, he said that Minister Kohta Kar was given a post in the party for making medicines more expensive while the price of sugar did not decrease by one rupee.
PML-N central leader Khurram Dastgir alleged that they themselves recruit corrupt people and then remove them and play wedding songs.
Responding to a question posed by host Muhammad Malik on Hum News program Breaking Point with Malik, the guest and PPP central leader Dr Nafisa Shah said that two ordinances were passed in Parliament after the quorum was pointed out.
"We must unite to send the current government home," he said. He said that they are abiding by the decision of CEC.
