A statue of Mahatma Gandhi has been unveiled in Australia. According to the news agency, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison unveiled a statue of Mahatma Gandhi outside the Australian Indian Community Center yesterday.
The statue of Gandhi is made of bronze and an attempt has been made to cut it with a sharp instrument which has caused severe damage to it but the culprits have not been identified yet.
On this tragic event, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that Australia is the most multicultural and immigrant country in the world. Attacks on any country's valuable personality and its culture will not be tolerated.
Victoria Police have appealed to eyewitnesses to help track down those who damaged the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. The suspects are being traced with the help of CCTV footage.
