The first country to have a coronavirus vaccine for children, Costa Rica

Corona vaccines have been announced in many countries to protect young people and children, but the central US state of Costa Rica has become the first country in the world to make it mandatory for children.

Although children over the age of 12 have been allowed to be vaccinated against coronavirus in Pakistan, it has not yet been implemented, while vaccination of older people is underway in most countries. Many countries, including the United States, have allowed 5-year-olds to be vaccinated.

According to the British agency, the Costa Rican government has signed an agreement with the American company Pfizer to vaccinate children, under which children over the age of 5 will be vaccinated.

Corona vaccine will be added to the list of mandatory vaccinations from March 2022, according to Costa Rican officials. The country is already vaccinating children against various infectious diseases.

Under the agreement, the Costa Rican government will purchase 1.5 million doses for children over the age of 5, while the remaining 2 million doses will be purchased for adults. According to the government, 70 percent of the population in Costa Rica has received a single dose so far, while 55 percent have been fully vaccinated.

The Costa Rican government has made the vaccine mandatory for children at a time when the US government recently allowed children over the age of five to be vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine. Apart from Costa Rica, no country in the world has yet made the corona vaccine mandatory for children, although it has made vaccination necessary to protect against the epidemic.

In most countries, including Pakistan, school-going children are now being vaccinated, and it is now thought that the Corona vaccine will be mandatory for children in other countries, such as Costa Rica.
