Protests against military coup in Sudan, 5 more killed

 In the African country of Sudan, the occupying army killed five more people during a crackdown on anti-insurgency protests.


According to the news agency, Sudanese security forces killed 5 anti-rebel protesters with tear gas and firing while several others were injured.

In this regard, Sudanese doctors said that in the capital Khartoum, one person was killed by tear gas and four people were shot dead.

He said that many people were injured because the protesters were facing all kinds of repression.

Doctors added that security forces stormed a hospital in Umm Darman and detained several injured.

The protests came after the army on Monday detained Sudan's civilian leadership, dissolved the government and declared a state of emergency.
