Clothing does not measure intelligence, says Dr. Salma

Educationist Dr. Salma says that clothing and intelligence are two separate issues. One's intelligence cannot be measured by clothing.

Talking on SAMAA program seven to eight, Dr. Salma said that clothing is related to a person's lifestyle and environment, the environment in which you live is reflected in your clothing.

Educationist Dr. Salma said that it is incomprehensible to associate intelligence with clothing. Intelligence is related to the environment and not to clothing.

"We make big claims without any research or survey, even though it may be someone's personal opinion, it cannot be called public opinion," he said.

Dr. Salma said that personal opinion depends on our experiences but it is necessary to quote data before making it public opinion.

"People who have both religious and secular knowledge will never talk like that, but will always talk about women's clothing in a balanced way," she said.

Speaking on the occasion, Functional League leader and Sindh Assembly member Nusrat Sahra Abbasi said that those who think that hijab affects women's intelligence are wrong.

Nusrat Sahar Abbasi said that before and after wearing hijab, there was no difference in my accent.

He said that such things are said by those who want to make women wearing hijab feel inferior.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Moeez, a psychologist, said that there is freedom in this country which says whatever comes to its heart.

Dr. Moeez said that a woman who wears hijab has the same discipline as getting up for Fajr, going to bed early at night, arriving at the office on time and so on.

He said that for discipline there must be two qualities, one is willpower and the other is self-confidence and the women who wear hijab follow discipline.

Dr. Moeez said that hijab has no effect on the psyche of women but it indicates self-confidence.
