According to details, Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry while briefing US think tanks and others on the Kashmir issue at the residence of Pakistan's Ambassador to the US Asad Majeed in Washington said that Pakistan has reached a global level to resolve the Kashmir issue. But when US President Trump offered to mediate on the Kashmir issue, Prime Minister Imran Khan had asked him to stop the ongoing atrocities in occupied Kashmir so that peace could prevail. Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry said that after 9/11, Kashmiris laid down their arms at the behest of the international community and gave an opportunity to the international community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir issue through peace and dialogue. No significant steps have been taken by the international community in this regard. Sources said that former US President Barack Obama's Asia Adviser Robin Raphael, former US Deputy Secretary of State Trista Schaefer, Madiha Afzal, Pakistani Ambassador to the US Asad Majeed and other representatives of think tanks were also present at the briefing.
