Prime Minister Imran Khan once again denied the reason for not giving air bases in Pakistan to the United States.
In an article written in an American newspaper, he said that if the United States could not win the Afghan war even after 20 years, what will it do with the air bases.
If the US is given bases, then Pakistan will be a target of terrorists. Imran Khan said the Afghan government should show flexibility in negotiations instead of blaming Pakistan. There is no preferred choice in Afghanistan, we will work with whoever brings the confidence of the Afghan people.
In his article, the Prime Minister called for a political solution to the Afghan problem, saying that if there was no political settlement before the US withdrawal, there would be a civil war.
If the Taliban completely conquers Afghanistan, there will be a lot of bloodshed. It will also affect Pakistan, we want peace, now we will not be part of any kind of confrontation. We will talk to anyone who will represent the Afghan people.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said in an interview given to American TV that it is not possible for Pakistan to give bases to the United States.
We will not allow any action from Pakistan in Afghanistan. Pakistan will not give bases to US for counter-terrorism operation on border.
