Azad Kashmir Election: Decision of Electoral Alliance between PTI and JUI

PTI and All Jammu and Kashmir Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam have decided to form an electoral alliance for Azad Kashmir Election 2021.


A delegation of All Jammu and Kashmir JUI led by Qazi Mahmood Al Hassan called on Special Assistant Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Tanveer Ilyas. In the meeting, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam announced to field all the candidates in Azad Kashmir in favor of PTI.

Qazi Mahmood Al-Hassan says the unity of the two parties will create a conducive environment.

Sardar Tanveer Ilyas said that he thanked the leaders of All Jammu and Kashmir Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam for uniting. Both parties will contest the election together.

On the other hand, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has claimed that the PPP will form a government in Azad Kashmir after winning the elections.

Azad Kashmir election

According to the Election Commission, general elections for the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly will be held on July 25 and polling will be held in 45 constituencies. In the current election, 4 constituencies have been added as compared to the previous elections.

Nominations for the general election can be submitted till June 21 and scrutiny of papers will be done till June 22 while the list will be released on the same day.

According to the Election Commission of Azad Kashmir, objections to the nomination papers can be lodged till June 28 and 29, while appeals can be lodged till June 30 and the nomination papers will be returned by July 2.

In Azad Kashmir elections, 2,817,090 voters will exercise their franchise, out of which 1,519,347 are male voters and 1,297,747 are female voters.
