NCOC recommends postponing Azad Kashmir elections for 2 months

The NCOC recommended postponing the Azad Kashmir elections for two months due to fears of an outbreak of the Karuna epidemic.

The NCOC has written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner of Azad Kashmir in this regard.

The department has written in the letter that the election should be postponed for the corona vaccination of maximum population of Azad Kashmir.

Elections are full of rallies and political activities, so there is a risk of an epidemic spreading due to election activities.

According to the NCOC letter, one million people of Azad Kashmir are likely to be vaccinated by September 21.

Earlier, in a press conference in Islamabad, the Azad Kashmir Prime Minister said that the federal government was trying to achieve the desired results in Azad Kashmir.

He said that Imran Khan as the chairman of PTI would do whatever he wanted but if he intervened as the prime minister then the matter would be settled.

Raja Farooq Haider said that the NCOC had written a letter to postpone the elections because of Karuna. Who gave this authority to the NCOC? This is not a by-election, it is a general election. Elections can be postponed only on external aggression. Now the two countries have reconciled on the border.
