Kuwait visa for Pakistan restored after 10 years

 It was decided to restore family and business visas immediately after 10 years between Pakistan and Kuwait.

According to the agreement, Kuwaiti visas will be issued to Pakistani employees while there will be no restriction on technical visas in medical and oil fields.

With this, Pakistanis living in Gulf countries will be able to come to Kuwait with online visa.

It should be noted that Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed is in Kuwait on a one-day official visit. The Interior Minister called on the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamid Al Sabah.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Interior of Kuwait and the Ambassador of Pakistan in which issues of mutual interest including bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kuwait were discussed.

The Kuwaiti Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed made important decisions in the meeting in which major progress was made on the restoration of Kuwaiti visas for Pakistani citizens who have been detained since 2011.

The Interior Minister also presented a special letter from Prime Minister Imran Khan to the Kuwaiti Prime Minister.

On the occasion, the Kuwaiti Prime Minister said that the relations between Pakistan and Kuwait spanned over seven decades and there was a bond of love and trust between the two peoples.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that relations between Pakistan and Kuwait are very long while mutual relations are based on mutual brotherhood and love. All Pakistanis consider Kuwait as their second home.

 Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that Pakistani families and business community were facing many problems due to Kuwaiti visa ban. Pakistani labor has played a vital role in Kuwait's early development and the restoration of worker visas will create new employment opportunities for Pakistanis.

The Home Minister said that restoration of business visa would increase trade between the two countries.
