According to details, Anti-Corruption Punjab arrested Muhammad Nawaz, a senior clerk involved in corruption worth Rs 33 crore, from Rajanpur.

Anti-corruption Punjab officials said that the accused Muhammad Nawaz had become the owner of property worth crores due to the earnings of corruption while the assets of Muhammad Nawaz are worth Rs. 40 crore.

The spokesperson said that the accused Muhammad Nawaz committed corruption of crores during his appointment as Senior Clerk CEO Health Office Rajanpur.

During 2008-09, substandard medicines worth Rs. 4 crore were procured while in the procurement of medicines worth Rs. 9 crore, local companies were selected and huge commissions were received.

Fake purchases of medical equipment in 2012 caused a loss of Rs. 5 crore to the exchequer, corruption of Rs. 12 million in installation of office intercom, purchase of general store items and stationery.

Officials said that during 2017-18, the accused caused a loss of Rs 2 crore to the exchequer due to misappropriation of medicines and withdrew Rs 3 million from the account for repairing government vehicles and digested the money after completing the paperwork.

In addition, Clerk Muhammad Nawaz, with the connivance of CEO Health Rajanpur, embezzled Rs 5 million in the purchase of stationery and Rs 25 lakh in the purchase of furniture.

Anti-Corruption Punjab says that the accused did all business, housing colonies and gold business with black money and became the owner of a luxurious mansion worth Rs. 20 crore while two luxury vehicles worth Rs. 73 lakh are also owned by accused Muhammad Nawaz ۔

It should be noted that a case has been registered against Muhammad Nawaz in Anti-Corruption Police Station Rajanpur under anti-corruption law.
