The year 2021 has been full of success for the Pakistan cricket team, however, now the preparations for the season full of cricket have started in the new year.
Schedule of international matches in the year 2022
The Australian team will visit Pakistan in the month of March-April after 20 years in the year 2022. The series will consist of 3 Tests, 3 ODIs and a T20 match.
The Australian team will start the series with regular Test matches. The first Test will be played on March 3 in Karachi, the second on March 12-16 in Rawalpindi and the third on March 21-25 in Lahore.
The three ODIs and the only T20 match of the series will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, all matches will run from March 29 to April 5.
Pakistan to visit Sri Lanka
The national team will tour Sri Lanka in July and August 2022, with a two-Test series and two ODIs.
T20 Asia Cup matches
The national team will participate in the Asia Cup in August, the schedule of which has not been finalized yet while 13 matches will be played in the event. Apart from Pakistan, teams like India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will participate.
England's visit to Pakistan
The English team, which canceled its tour of Pakistan last year, will visit Pakistan in October this year, where the two teams will face each other in 7 T20 International matches. Due to T20 World Cup, English will complete its tour of Pakistan in November and December for Test matches.
ICCT20 World Cup
Australia will host the ICCT20 World Cup in October and November 2022, with 45 matches played in the event and 16 teams taking part. The official schedule of the event will be announced on January 21.
Visit of New Zealand to Pakistan
The Kiwi team, which canceled the tour in October and November 2022 due to security reasons, will visit Pakistan and play 2 Tests, 8 ODIs and 5 T20 matches in the series.
