Bangladesh beat New Zealand by 8 wickets in the first match of a two-Test series to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

The Bangladesh team, which had suffered a defeat at home at the hands of Pakistan, made a brilliant comeback against New Zealand and piled up the Kiwis.

The Kiwis scored 328 at home in the first innings of the Mount Monganoi Test, with Henry Knuckles scoring 75 and Will Young 52, in addition to Devon Conway's 122-run innings.

For Bangladesh, Mehdi Hassan, Sharaful Islam took 3, 3 while Mominul Haq took two wickets.
