Bangladesh defeats ICC World Test champions New Zealand
Bangladesh beat New Zealand by 8 wickets in the first match of a two-Test series to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
The Bangladesh team, which had suffered a defeat at home at the hands of Pakistan, made a brilliant comeback against New Zealand and piled up the Kiwis.
The Kiwis scored 328 at home in the first innings of the Mount Monganoi Test, with Henry Knuckles scoring 75 and Will Young 52, in addition to Devon Conway's 122-run innings.
For Bangladesh, Mehdi Hassan, Sharaful Islam took 3, 3 while Mominul Haq took two wickets.
In the first innings, Bangladesh played a brilliant game and put up a mountain of 458 runs in front of the Kiwis. At the end of the first innings, the Bengal Tigers had a 130-run lead against the rival team.
In the second innings, none of the Kiwi batsmen failed to play a resisting innings. Will Young scored 69 while Ross Taylor stood out with 40 runs while New Zealand scored 169 runs.
