Quentin de Kock says goodbye to Test cricket

South African wicketkeeper-batsman Quentin de Kock has called off Test cricket.

 De Kock has retired immediately after the team's defeat in the first Test against India.

"The first child is expected soon, so now I want to give my family time," Quentin de Kock said in a statement.


"This is not the end of my career, I will continue to play white ball cricket," said Quentin de Kock.

Quentin de Kock, a 29-year-old left-handed South African batsman, has played 54 Tests in which he has scored 3,300 runs at an average of 38.82, including six centuries and 22 half-centuries.
