Umar Akmal was allowed to play club cricket

 The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allowed middle-order batsman Umar Akmal to play club cricket for the national cricket team.

Umar Akmal's permission to play club cricket is a part of his rehab program. In the rehab program which started last month, umar Akmal has so far expressed regret and also participated in anti-corruption lectures while PCB Security & Questions from the Anti-Corruption Department are also answered.

Umar's rehab program will be completed by next month, after which Omar will be eligible to play domestic cricket this year.

Earlier, umar AKamal was sentenced to three years imprisonment for not informing the board when contacted by every bucky, which was reduced to 18 months by the Independent Adjudicator.

On the other hand, the International Sports Arbitration Court had sentenced umar Akamal to less than 18 months and one year.

Pakistani cricketer has represented the national team in 16 Tests, 121 ODIs and 84 T20 Internationals.
