Administrator Murtaza Wahab says that the citizens of Karachi will sit with the department to solve their problems.
Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab while talking in Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) building said that he would try to restore the lights of Karachi once again and would sit down with the department to solve the problems of the citizens.
Murtaza Wahab said that KMC would improve the situation in the city including the department with the help of officers, citizens would be needed to solve the problems. Our focus is on the future rather than the past.
"I don't have a water board but I have an institution in my city. We will talk to them. In some areas water comes for 7 days. In some places it doesn't even come for a day," he said. Similarly, there is a shortfall of water which cannot be solved immediately.
Administrator Karachi said that clean water supply is a big problem in Karachi, the problems have not been solved in the last four or five years. I will try to work in the city without any race or color.
At the request of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Murtaza Wahab was appointed Administrator Karachi, which other parties, including Jamaat-e-Islami and MQM Pakistan, termed as an attempt by the PPP to take over the city.
It may be recalled that the Sindh government had two days ago issued a notification to appoint administrators in three districts of Karachi, West, Central and Korangi, which was withdrawn within 24 hours.
