Corona test of a player in the Indian Test squad in England is positive

A player in the Indian cricket squad in England has tested positive and has been quarantined.

India's 23-member squad is in the UK where a five-match Test series between England and India will be played. The series will begin on August 4.

Earlier, Indian players will stay in the BioSecure Bubble for which arrangements have been made in Durham, UK.

According to the Press Trust of India, sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on condition of anonymity that a player's corona test was positive before becoming part of the biosecure bubble. ۔ The affected player has been separated from other players and will not travel to Durham with the team on Thursday.

The Indian Cricket Board did not name the victim. However, it is feared that the player may have the Delta, a type of corona virus found in India. This type of corona is also spreading rapidly in the UK.

According to Indian media reports, the news of the player's coronation came at a time when Cricket Board Secretary Jay Shah had sent an e-mail to the anti-coronation officials in the UK warning the players. They went to take precautions against the coronavirus.

Jay Shah had asked the players to avoid going to crowded places. In particular, the e-mail contained instructions on Wimbledon and the Euro Championship. Both the tennis and football events have recently come to an end.

Prior to the series, the Indian squad is scheduled to stay at the Biosecure Bubble in Durham, UK, for which the players will arrive in Durham on Thursday.

Recently, New Zealand defeated India in the final of the Test Championship, after which the series against England is being declared as an important series for India.
