Peshawar defeats Zalmi: Multan Sultans became PSL champions for the first time

 Multan Sultans defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 47 runs in the final match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6.


In the match played in Abu Dhabi, Peshawar failed to achieve the mountain-like target of 207 runs given by Zalmai Multan Sultans and managed to score 159 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.


Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal scored 48 and 36 runs respectively for Peshawar Zalmai. For Sultans, Imran Tahir got three wickets, Imran Khan and Blessing Zambarwani got two wickets each.


Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to field first against Multan Sultans.


Multan Sultans scored 206 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to the aggressive batting of Riley Rousseau and Sohaib Maqsood.


Sohaib Maqsood remained unbeaten and scored 65 runs with the help of 3 sixes and 6 fours while Riley Rousseau played an innings of 50 runs with the help of 3 sixes and 5 fours.


Mohammad Imran and Samin Gul took two wickets each for Peshawar Zalmai.
