Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan has said that Narendra Modi will not suffer as much as the opposition is doing to Pakistan's improving economy.
Talking to SAMAA's program Question, Ali Mohammad Khan said that the job of the opposition is to point out the flaws in the government policy but their job is only to criticize.
The PTI leader said that despite Karuna, the economy was improving and now the focus was only on performance and development.
Ali Mohammad Khan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the ministers to pay attention to their performance and the spokesperson should inform the people about the government's performance.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that we will not back down from accountability but focus on development along with the statement of accountability.
Ali Mohammad Khan said that this GDP growth was not achieved in one day but it is due to two and a half years of hard work.
Regarding inflation, he said that inflation has started declining from this week and its graph is now moving downwards.
Ali Mohammad Khan said that the current account has become surplus which means reduction in government expenditure and increase in revenue.
Speaking on the occasion, PML-N leader Senator Javed Abbasi said that when the first budget was presented, Asad Umar had presented a good picture of the economy but he was removed before the next budget.
Javed Abbasi said that Hafeez Sheikh was then brought in saying that he was experienced but he was removed suddenly and without his knowledge while the government spokesman said that his performance was not good.
He claimed that the present finance minister would not be in the next budget either. He claimed that this government has completely failed to provide relief to the people.
Javed Abbasi said that the government's writ of GDP growth has reduced the problems of the people. He further said that inflation in the country has gone up by 400% which is causing severe hardships to the people.
The PML-N leader said that there has been an increase in exports which there is no problem in accepting but today Asad Umar is saying that after 5 years we will reach 5% growth rate of PML-N.
Javed Abbasi said that we are sad that people are sad and upset because they cannot even buy medicine for themselves.
He denied reports of differences in the PML-N, saying that differences may exist but all party leaders are on the same page.
